I recently acquired this oak via yamadori, now i don't know what approach i should do, i'm a bit inclined to a literati or similar to these:

Yes, but not much. The top will catch up to the bottom, and they'll be the same thickness.

Let it grow wild all growing season and then make your branch selections. The tree might not follow the plan you have for it you'll have to work with what it gives you.
