Help Identifying This Stump Collected This Year (white ash?)

Hey y’all, I collected this tree this year in late winter. It finally put some leaves out so I think I have an idea of what it is. Can anyone else confirm if it’s an ash tree? I’m located in Maryland

Looks like an ash to me. Can you take a photo of one of the buds? Ash can be distinguished from each other by the leaf scar near a bud and/or the bud’s color.

Might be prudent to allow branches/foliage to mature before scar test.

Does look like an Ash compound leaf and the bark on the stump looks like Ash too. Tons of Oregon Ash, which is a typical eastern Ash that got misplaced to west side of the continent, around the woods here. I have a few in captivity.
