I was repotting a very old satsuki I just recently bought and the soil had lots of larvae burrowed in it. Can anyone identify them from the picture? As it was an old satsuki there was no way to get to every nook and cranny in the rootball. I removed every one i could find and killed them but I'm sure a few remain. My guess was they're vine weevil so I ordered and treated it with beneficial nematodes (Hetrorhabditis bacteriophora and Steinernema carpocapsae.) I'd like to follow that next week with some kind of an insecticidal dip. Zerotol (a fungicide) has been suggested to me by the seller but I can't find a reference to it treating weevils or grubs anywhere on the net, and 150+ is a lot to spend...
