This tree was grafted by Roy Nagatoshi two weeks ago. It will be a while before I work on it. I may start jin and shari work this summer. Not the best picture. Sorry

It's got potential for sure! Have any more pictures of those grafts up close? I'd really like to see how Roy grafted it.

Looking good san hose grafted onto san hose, or itiogawa/kishu grafted onto san hose?

Ben

Here are some pics of the tree and a few others that Roy grafted. They are all single approach grafts. Sorry if the pics are a bit fuzzy.

Someone was looking for itiogawa whips a few weeks ago, I bet Roy could supply them.

He ran out for this year. At least that is what he told me last week. He's been grafting up a storm lol.

someone please correct me if im wrong but that scion doesn't look like itoigawa. Looks like regular shimpaku to me...

I think Steve meant to say Kishu shimpaku as thats what Roy uses and thats what roys father used before him. I still dont know what regular shimpaku is. I guess we only see Kishu and Itoigawa here in so. cal.

OOPS,
It's Peter that uses Itoigawa. I have one grafted by him too.
Sorry,
