Got a free ficus!

Stoped at my locale plant shop to grab flowers for the old lady and they hooked me up with a free ficus ( last time I got a plant I found bugs on it when I got home)
So I thought I would do some styling on it... what do you think.
Going for a literati style, any hints or tips would be appreciated.

Hoping for some roots to grow out of that lowest branch...

Just sa8d fig... but I'm 90% sure it's a B. Ficus

Just let the buds grow out into lignified branches up that trunk..
Before you take the wire off..

Or take it off real careful.

Even with so few branches.
Its giving a warm feeling.

How you been growing these?

Been growing well, I haven't had a prob since my first one... I just try and not do to much with the roots in winter now.
I've been putting all the branches I cut off in water and rooting them soooo ill have like 50 f. Ben going come spring.

Want some roots to start growing for when I start removing the soil... just thought it might look good with them growing down on that side.... if not I'll cut'em off.

I love that you are enjoying what you are doing.
I was just thinking about how everyone does this, Bonsai, under someone else's expectations, and even though they may succeed...I question how happy it is making them.

Me. The easy too see stupid one..
I was operating under everyone's expectations for me to repot in spring.
And I haven't been happy!

You! Lol...fitting right? Still....

Have a giant middle finger to others' expectations and seem happier than most!

My utmost respect for being that person!
