I am very new to bonsai but I really like these trees so here I go! My wife picked this up at Wal-Mart for me. Doesn't get much more nursery can than that

The most challenging part will be repoting, they are usually rootbound with a terrible soil

My first goal is to keep it alive until Father's Day and repot after that!

It put on a lot of growth so far this year. 
But when I started to repot it I found out it was pretty much a stubby trunk with small branches everywhere. I cut off about half, hoping to let light and air in.
We'll see what happens. Hopefully a trunkline emerges over the next couple of years.
