Hello, I just purchased this plant at Walmart the other day. Notice that there seems to be some mold at the bottom (see pictures), unsure if this indicates root rot. I was thinking of re-potting into bonsai soil, unsure if this plant is healthy enough to replant at this time. Can this plant be saved and do I have to re-pot it? How do I save it? Thank you!

Not mold. It's lime scale build up. Not really an issue for the tree, just a bit unsightly. Comes from hard water or fertilizers.
