Hello all, I noticed over winter a fungus starting to grow at the junction of deadwood and live tissue of this Littlehip Hawthorn. I’ve scraped the fungus away, and between then and now have sprayed the tree with diluted hydrogen peroxide, Bonide Infuse, and Mancozeb. Over the last couple weeks we love started having some heavy rain again and I noticed today the fungus is growing again. Please see the attached pictures. What should I do to get this under control? Thanks!

Fungicides work by contact or by entering the sap flow. Dead wood has no sap flow and hardly transports anything.

I would first try lime sulfur.

You can try 100% DMSO (wear gloves!) which has helped me tackle some fungal issues in the past. It carries whatever it touches, into tissue, both live and dead.. and both human and plant (there have been reports of people tasting hand soap after touching dmso after a handwash, so it's no joke). It has a sulfur part that fights the fungus itself and it will transport all fungicides that you applied deeper into the wood.
But.. This might be a fungus that is resistant to your fungicides. Then the only option is to remove the dead wood or keep it very dry.

Where it is on the trunk, I might be inclined to brush on a little undiluted Mancozeb. Definitely appears to be on a dead spot of wood.
Cedar-Apple rust is the “lifer” disease in Hawthorns, so you’ll always be in treatment or maintenance mode.

Thanks for the replies!
