Hello!

I bought this Fukien Tea tree today, and i noticed it had the exact same trunk style as my chinese elm, so i was wondering about changing that.
By either chopping the trunk or something.
Do you guys see any future designs in this? Anything in particular that might fit this little guy?
3 pics of the front, side and back of it as it is now.
Any help appriciated! :)

Grats :D neet little tree :)

Now i dont know so much about this tree type but if it is doable i would really try to make that tree into 2 trees with air layering.. maybe right above the first branch set :)

One thing i really dont like about commersial bonsai is that it seems that the tree always have to have that crooked S shape hehe

Yeah i know, the s-shape haunts the trees you find in local nurseries etc - to bad :P
But i like them none the less :)
Maybe air layering is a good option? Hmm.. Dont know if i dare to try it out, hehe..

I would make sure the tree is adjusted and growing well in it's new environment before doing anything to it. I have had two of these. I killed the first by working on it while it wasn't in the best of health. The second one I have taken a more conservative approach with and it is growing really well.

I like the middle picture as front...just tilt it up (towards the new front) when you repot. Repot next year once it is warmer (consistently over 60*F overnight) so it depends on where you are.
