This was one of my first bonsai I started with so thought it would be cool to track it progress and keep updated a thread for this little comp.

Bought from a nursery when I knew little to nothing about bonsai but looked like a cool little tree.

I removed the bottom stump with the idea of later creating some deadwood with it. This was before I was on the look out for sausages in the tree's which I now see everywhere. I was basically just looking at creating a triangle.

Today I removed the spring flush of growth so that I could get some ramification tighter without the internodes becoming to long. If the tree bounces back I will look at repotting into a better soil mix although it is in lava rock at the moment with some organics. I prefer the inorganic trifecta that we use here in Israel of Pumice:Perlite:Vermiculite. Looking at him this morning I think that this will eventually become the back of the tree with the carving on the front to bring some interest
