This is one of the trees that my neighbor gave me a few days ago. Which was a nice gesture on his part!

He has been growing it like this he said for 3 years, and the container it was in was very flimsy.

I'm not crazy about the roots but they have adhered to the rock and this is a good project to pass some time.

Here is how I got it:

It is "double bagged" in a super thin plastic planter. To get it out I had to cut slits in the first container because some of the roots had grown in between the two:

Then the same thing had to be done at the bottom:

So after a bunch of small snips and clips I got this guy out:

I Only cut that long spiraling root shorter but left the rest of the roots alone. Using a hose, I removed the old soil:

This tree needs time and a lot of work. I hate the bulbous trunk and roots and will work on that in the future.

For now it went in a regular 3 inch clay pot.

Here are a few sides of the tree...There is no front of this tree yet in my mind yet:

I dont want to spend £70 but its great, and if its sat there its just going to die :\ fuck it, im going to save it. cheers bud.

@Victorim I know what you mean if it's still good, go get it! Before some weirdo buys it and tries to keep it in their basement office :p

Looking forward to seeing it!
