A red ume starter has started flowering - my white ones appear to be on the way. Last couple years it took til Jan or even feb, not sure if that’s good or bad

Yaekan kō - 八重寒紅
Huángshān yùdié - 黃山黃香 (黄山玉蝶)
Qiānbàn zhūshā - 千瓣朱砂
Gǔ lǐ hóng - 骨里紅

I try to take these pictures in a dark workshop under neon lights, so that the conditions are always very similar
