This tree has been trained for bonsai. While doing that, I still enjoy its flowers in every Vietnamese New Year. I really this specimen because it has been always bloomed right in the 1st day of the lunar year! I will prune and bend these branches down as soon as the flowers are fading.

So beautiful and delicate.

Beautiful.

It doesn't seem to be grafted : do you know the species, where it comes from (seed, cutting, air-layer,...?)
Thanks everyone for your kind words.
This tree was grafted. It is Prunus persica 'Early Pink'. I bought this tree about 10 years ago in one of nurseries in our area. I also had a few big trees in my yard with pink and red flowers, but unfortunately all of them died of Japanese beetles! However, there are several seedlings coming up on the ground. It produced the fruits but I did not want to eat them even though it was really sweet! even though I tried to remove all the young fruits to reserve energy for the next season bloom, but some fruits were still able to escape and made to final stage. I just let them drop on the ground. It is why I have many seedlings. Last year I collected more than 10 seedlings and put them into the one gallon pot to train them for bonsai.
This tree can be propagate through seedling, cutting or air layering.

I was stunned when I saw this 2 years old seedling yesterday. It has 2 flower buds! Other seedlings don’t have flower buds yet! It should bloom in 5 year old seedling, not 2 years old!!

I plan to let them grow uncheck to build up the trunk and will prune them down hard !
