Hey everyone, I just got this stock Shimpaku over the weekend and wired it. It's about 15 inches tall. The front bends forward (hard to tell from the picture) so I'm not sure if I should do anything about that. The apex is top heavy so I need to open that up a bit. I'm trying to achieve a formal upright style.

My plan is to keep it in the training pot until the trunk gets some size (no idea how long that will take). Also, how long should the wire be kept on?

What do you guys think? Comments/Suggestions? Keep in mind, I'm a newbie. Thanks!

If you can put more bends in the limbs you wired. If its flexible. They look really straight in the pics.

Just keep an eye on it, AB. If the wire starts looking tight next season, take it off.
