Hello all!

I'm completely new and got my first bonsai. Now I think I might be out of my depth. I've read other sites and people have said it's not the best for beginners.

I seem to be losing a lot of leaves. I think I may have under watered because the label said water once a week but my soil got very dry. Now I'm moving on to spraying more regularly is this best?

Also this may be a dumb question but it seems to have these fluffy ends. Is this a disease or how it's meant to be?

Any help would really be appreciated

I don't know fukien tea, but I know plants.
Yellowing starting from the bottom usually means one of two things: there was a dry period, or it's lacking nutrients.

Since you're talking about having it too dry, this is most likely the cause for the yellowing.
I think the fluffy ends are buds that are starting to form, so no reason for concern. But the plant is not looking all that great all together.

Hopefully my response puts this post in the spotlight and calls some other people to join in.
