Greetings all,

TLDR: is a cutting grown from a grafted Ginseng a ginseng???

I’m starting a small pre-bonsai business where I’ll be selling small grown material from cuttings.

I’ve been making clones via cutting for about 10 years now on a large ginseng I’ve had forever. Are they babies considered ginseng or just microcarpa?

Current varieties I’m growing are:
Ficus microcarpa 'Green Island'
Ficus microcarpa 'Ginseng'
Ficus microcarpa 'Tiger Bark'
Ficus elastica 'Rubber Tree'
Ficus benjamina 'Weeping Fig'
Ficus aurea 'Golden Fig'
Ficus regliosa 'Sacred Fig'
Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey Fig'

There is no ficus species ginseng. It is a common name given to what is usually a larger leaf seed grown ficus microcarpa grafted with a smaller leaf ficus microcarpa because of the bulbous looking roots.

I like those roots! Is elastica harder to root? what size cutting is best?
