I got two of these as a cuttings off of a giant grafted Gensing ficus. What type does this look like to you guys? Retusa or green island Microcarpa? It’s got nice short internodes and fairly small leaves.

Did these root out nicely for you in water?

I have had good success with benjamina in water so I’m trying one of these in water and one in bonsai mix. We will see how it goes. I’m thinking it will root just fine in water.

The cultivar thats grafted on ginseng and typical fused trunks S shape bonsais its Ficus microcarpa var. "Compacta"

Dont know that Benjamina, but there is a F microcarpa compacta cultivar, probably have other comercial names also so it might be confusing
