Fertilizer Questions

I'm keeping 3 Dwarf Umbrellas indoors under T5s. I want to start fertilizing in a couple of weeks. Biggest thing is that they had to be pet safe. I have a cat that likes to get into everything. Current plan is an organic based pellets (5/7/4) and a fish/kelp blend (2/3/1) for watering.

I'm seeing some people fertilize all year round, every watering session for some indoor plants.

Could I make this work with these lower level fertilizers?
At this point I have a mind to only fertilize during growing periods at once per week.

That first ones lovely on a bit of toast.. yum yum yum..
