The twin trunk was about 7ft tall and the smaller was about 4ft. Hopefully they survive.

I'm not at all familiar with British flora, but if I were to hazard a guess, I would say it's probably a tree of some sort. I would even dare to say it's likely deciduous.
I do like the movement of that single trunk, for sure.
