Does anybody know the process of making a shohin black pines

Hello everyone, yesterday I saw a thread on this website about the 6-year black pine progression and some of the winners. How do people make those beautiful shohin pines we see on the internet with thick trunks? Is there a specific process to this or is it just letting it grow and cutting it back hard? Is there anywhere I could read about this topic? How do they go from those massive needle sizes to tiny ones?

Would also (highly recommend) Eric Schrader’s Bonsaify Shohin Black Pine course.

It’s very systematic, going year by year what to do to create an excellent outcome. Have three trees on this flight path now.
