I just brought the larger dwarf jades inside this past week and noticed damage to the leaves. Then I got to looking at them all closer and all of them had similar damage. Large plants in sun and small plants in a different spot in the shade all have the same damage only on the upper side of the leaf. My outdoor thermometers show that it only got down to 39F for a brief period as the coldest temp thus far, which doesn’t seem cold enough to account for the damage. Also, some new leaves are unaffected.

They might have gotten overspray from permethrin, but have probably had that drift a few times without damage. I did spray everything with insecticidal soap that was was going inside and also drenched with Mycotrol (B. bassiana). Pictures below. Any ideas?

Underside of above, no damage.

Any hail the last couple of months?
That or something like grasshoppers or maybe thrips.

No hail, plus some were under shade cloth and an overhang. I think I would have noticed that many grasshoppers, our yard is small and we don’t usually have many. I suppose I could have missed thrips. But the damage is only on the top and the plants are 60ft apart. I’ve only ever had mealy bugs on P. afra. I’m leaning toward a reaction with the insecticidal soap or maybe cold damage.
