Creating an Acer Rubrium Bonsai grove

Could anyone out there please help me. I want to create a red maple bonsai grove.
Does anyone know of any nurseries that sell bonsai size trees that I could purchase for my project.

I suppose that depends on what “bonsai size” means to you. Are you just looking for small saplings? Trees that someone has put some effort into growing as pre-bonsai by thickening the trunk, developing taper, and periodically cutting back apical growth to avoid having large trunk chop scars?

If you just want small saplings, there are probably lots of places you can get them. I have purchased Acer rubrum saplings online from Chief River Nursery before.

Just gather fresh seed this spring. It only takes a few weeks to grow a seedling.
