its been outside but its freezing over in England now and the wind keeps knocking it over so i but it in a cold room with loads of light and it started going down hill so iv put it there so its warmer and still get some light
1. when i say freezing im not lieing snow tonight and since i live high up in flats its freezing outsideYou can better learn what's going on than make sweeping assumptions, you'll kill it even faster treating it like a kitten.
1. It's NOT freezing, it's cold to you, a human. You can't bring it inside and mess around with it, that's what kills them.
2. It didn't start going down hill, it did what they do in winter and the leaves went darker.
3. Trees don't need HEAT to get better, they need LIGHT. It gets effectively zero light where you have it. Never, ever, put a tree somewhere in your living room - they are not low-light houseplants. You need to have them right next to a window - within an inch of the glass.
I'm not familiar with Loropetalum, but from what I can find, they are cold hardy and can withstand some sub freezing weather. With that said, they probably won't stand being moved in and out of a heated building all winter long. It's only the second week of December and you've got the rest of the winter to muddle through...find a protected place outside, mulch it in and leave it there...or...place it in a cold sunny window and cross your fingers. I'd think outside would be best.
thats not a problem ill do that nowThis is still effectively darkness. Needs to be on the windowsill.
i dont have much of an outside with living in a flat
I lived in England for 7 years. One of the houses I lived in was built in the 1700's and when you opened the front door you where on the sidewalk of Main Street, literally. Maybe Maverick has a similar issue? That is not big enough to block your entrance door or any step going to it... You and that plant will be happier!

The entrance to my flat is in doors with no windows and with the entrance to 4 outher flats and a liftThat is not big enough to block your entrance door or any step going to it... You and that plant will be happier!

Wow you are good at that game.Cool but you have got to get that loropetalum outside. You're slowly killing it by keeping it inside.
