Hey so I seen this at Walmart and had to pick it up. I was hoping I could add it to my indoor collection. I don't have much for window light in my house, but I placed it under 2 led lights that I've been using for a Ficus.

Will this be enough light?

How often should I prune this thing?

This will die indoors. Juniper are outdoor trees.
Is there rock or spray painted moss glued to the soil surface? If so. Remove the , see what the dirt looks like. Commonly these are sold as poorly rooted cuttings in what basically amounts to pond scum for a potting medium. If it looks like that I'd recommend moving it to another pot with some good potting soil, then take it outside and leave it there. Start in dappled sun/ mostly shade, then move to more sun after a couple weeks.

Most Wal Mart Juniper Bonsai are already firewood when you buy them. This one looks nice and green so there may be hope.

Fukien Tea makes a good indoor bonsai. Another one is barbadios cherry although ours is outside right now. But Eric is right your juniper needs to be outside all the time.

Looks good. Might want to thin that bad boy out a little to get some sun in there.

Fukien can be kept indoors but they're a little fussy. Jades of various types do well indoors.
None of mine were fussy.. i did say were because my sister in law wanted to get into bonsai so i gave her my fukien teas..they are happy at her house. Im looking at getting another one very soon.

Ok will do!

If you're gonna thin it....

Don't cut off low branches....
Branches with close foliage....
And branches useful to a design.

Do it with a lot of future thought.

Yeah i guess i should have mentioned just to thin the top. Nothing major just open it up a little.
