Want to turn this into a mame bonsai root over rock,

Advice for design please?

It's very likely you're not going to be able to get those roots to move around a rock at all.

These are supposed to root easy though....

So you can start new young roots to train on a rock.

Thank you for your reply.

I should have been more specific with regards to my intentions, I apologize for that.

When I said root over rock, I was meaning more specifically resting it "ontop" of a rock, the base is currently flat and almost seems as if there was a rock there before, i was thinking that if I found a rock that fits in under it perfectly I could make sure there are still some roots in the ground.

Its all in planning stages at the moment though, I did an intitial styling of it which I will post onto this thread if you and everyone else is keen to see?
