There is a grouping of Balsam Firs in a clearing that I just love, and I look to collect them soon (especially a forest style one\). The clearing's soil is gritty, sandy and gravel-ly mixed with a nice, loamy composition. Almost full sun.

When do I collect?
What methods should I follow?
Should I plant them in the original soil or a nicer, more foresty-style and loamy soil?
How long should I wait to train them?
Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.
