coffie!!!

Leads to mold in my experience!

Especially inside! ;)

Giving me coffee is good.
I think giving the plants water, ferts and light is probably a better option.
the reason im asking is its winter in england so i cant feed them ferts but since i have two that like pretty acidic soil i could help them with coffiee till spring so i can repot them and start with the ferts again

What type of plants are we talking about? And how are they currently planted? In the ground? In pots?
What type of soil are they currently in?
Have you added spagnum peat?
Have you tried any other options?

the two im talking about are my rhododendron satsuki azaleas and my loropetalum and both in pots.
Im not sure what soil they still in the stuff i got them in.
spagnum??? whats that
i normally just used fertilizer

Peat is not ideal anyway. You could use coconut coir.
I would say just use a good fert during growing conditions.
Do you water with rain water?
That will be better than tap- if you can.
Add pics when you can
We would love to see them.

I live in a flat also.
You can use some used coffee grounds if you want to. Be careful don't over do it.
They are better for plants in the ground.
Yes they will lower the ph.
I am thinking that you grow those outside most of the time correct?
I like #1 a lot.
Coffee grounds can stay wet longer than a good free draining soil.
In a garden or on rose bushes they are nice. In a pot it can be tricky.

Do you serve it black? Or with crime and sugar?

Black would be better.

Oh... You mean the grounds?

My answer is no. I do not use any organic a in my soil mix.

I do dump my coffee grounds in my vegetable garden.

It was just something i heard and its sound good so i may give it a try if it will lower the PH.
and i have 3 tree the two we are talking about and a Chinese elm. the Chinese elm and the rhododendron satsuki azaleas (1st picture) stay outside on my balcony
the loropetalum im going to keep inside over winter .
i love the first one cant wait for it to flower ;)

If they are dormant they aren't worrying about acidity.
Just leave them alone until spring. Then put them in the proper soil. Toss the coffee in the trash.

Goodness - I don't know how many threads have been started on these same three trees. Are we up to five? Anyway, I'll suggest the same thing I've said in the other threads once again, and then I'll shut up.

Leave them outside. Leave them alone except to make sure that they don't dry out. Research repotting, not the benefits of coffee grounds. As Mike said, your priority should be on getting them out of the muck and into proper soil - you'll need to find out what people use in your area and you'll need to get some. They will be a lot easier for you to keep healthy once you have them repotted. But repotting is a technique that needs to be mastered and you'll have to have that figured out by spring. Put your energy into that. Find some people that do bonsai in your area and can help you.
