Collected Fall 2022 and put in a grow bed.

Tried the twin trunk style and it did not look good so the lower trunk was chopped. The result was a nice tapered trunk with good movement. The top was carved and branches wired but I don’t necessarily like the apex yet. We have a way to go there.

I don't know how it will take, if at all, to heal the scar from cutting off the big low branch but I had to take it off. The tree was laid down and that branch grew out near the bottom then shot straight up 10 ft high. I chopped it short at collection time. I looked and tried to find ways to incorporate that branch into the tree design but did not find anything appealing so off it went. I am pleased with the cut. I guess the scar will have to be featured into the look of the tree.
