I picked up this ch. elm back in 1996 for $25, it was under the sellers bench because he didn't think it was worth anything as seen in the first pic. During the years leading up to today the tree has seen a few different styles , the most recent being the second pic. This year after about a lapse of 10yrs it finally dropped all it's leaves for the winter.

Looking inside the branches I noticed quite a few that had died off and figured in order to maintain a proper health system I would need something where I could see what was happening in the way insects or other health issues which might be affecting it through out the year on the inside which was not possible the way it had been styled. My ch. elms are especially prone to scale , the micro mini kind that kills off branches if not dealt with.

The last pic shows the new restyle which I think came out pretty good, looks like a nice clip and grow style. :-)scan0001.jpgP1017965_pe.jpgIMG_1514_pe.jpg
