Chinese elm root over silicon metal

It is interesting to note that silicon metal, while very stable chemically, does not exist in the wild. This is a chunk of crystallized silicon used in the computer chip manufacturing process. It is a memento of my past work.

The importance of the silicon chunk to me prompted the use of @vancehanna pot that I received as gift from @namnhi

Beautiful Vance's pot for sure. I was picturing a gracefully Mayhaw in it but this will do as well after knowing more about the 'rock'.

I'm curious to see how it compares to the root-over-crystal/geode trees. Not in a "which one is better" kind of way, just that those and this look different from the norm in somewhat different ways.
