A while back [about two months ago] - I shared my Chinese Elm was showing signs of root water-rot, and appearing to be slowly dying one leaf and one branch at a time after the past winter - surviving rather than thriving. I repotted and moved the bonsai from the sunroom to outdoors. Looks good now [the attached images are the bonsai the day I repotted it, and an image taken today] - I appreciate the push [from just about everyone here] to get this tree outdoors. Thought I was going to lose it.

Well done getting this tree to recover so well and so quickly. Luckily Chinese elms are really tough.

Well done.

For reference this little elm has lived outside (shock!) the entire 4 years I’ve owned it. It was also outside at the nursery where I purchased it. They can, and will, survive outside if given the correct care (which is often times much better than the Chinese elms that are left to grow on their own outside in the landscape)
