I gotta nutter one right here.
Found the faux stone and plant in the yard.
We'll see how it fills in.
I stuffed the roots in grooves and covered em with 8822 fines and worm castings. A little Sphagnum.
I hope the will eventually grow into the porous rock, at which time I can remove the soil. And maybe just leave a bit of dirt.

Dirt on a rock ledge next to the lake at McDonald's Hamburger University! Reckon it will do fine on a shallow rock too.
That red tone will symbolize spring quite nice, with the bright green tips.
Red holds for a while.
