Hey everyone. I did this one in my first workshop. Few browning needles but instructor said that’s to be expected. Anyway, your thoughts? Ideas or opinions?

Looks like a good start.
My one issue is the very straight vertical trunk.

I would consider tilting it about 20-30 degrees to the left when repotting.
This would as energy and lift the cascading portion up, which could be wired down if desired.

Great idea. I think I will do just that next spring. Thanks!

I also picked up the straight, thick, upright trunk as an issue.
Personally I would consider converting that upper section to dead wood - Jin. The branches of the 2 parts seem to be competing for attention and light. The lower trunk seems to have a better line and bends too.
Simpler is often better.

The tree has probably been through enough for now so don't rush in to make more changes yet. Spend the next few months considering what might look good before doing anything else. That time will allow the tree to recover from the first assault so it can cope with the next abuse better.
