I've seen some very nice fig bonsai lately so I've been entertaining the thought of harvesting an air layer on my yard tree. TBH I can't recall the variety and no one in my family seems to remember either. I know they have a few dwarf cultivars out rn such as Beers Black, Little miss Figgy, Little Ruby, and Fignominal. I own all of these but i feel the real move would be semi dwarfs. Do you or anyone you know have a preferred variety or subfamily you could recommend for cultivating with bonsai techniques?
Ps. I'm looking for tiny nodes and ability to trunk up relatively quickly.
Thank you for your time
