My book arrived today...it actually has a section on bonsai by a Mr Sunny Yo. Who surprised me with a few of his techniques...one comment that they don't need repotted,no matter how old the tree. And how devoid of soil...just add lime to the soil evert few months. The plant will continue to thrive.
He also says to water only when leaves start to whither...as overwatering can kill.
This bonsai man has sold bonsai upto five figures...
The book touches on propagation...repotting...and how to prune the roots. Which was what I was hoping for...because I kept reading to not touch the roots. This concerned me. Thus the reason I picked up the book from BGI...along with bougainvillea soil.
