2 White Spruce from one for $9.99 Canadian Tire, and the other for 6.50 at Home Depot with twin trunk.

Funny, on the way to take my son out for lunch yesterday there was a bald eagle sitting in the middle of a field. Getting more common to see eagles around here.

Did some work on the twin trunk white spruce. Removed some of the soil to get down to the nebari. Then cut the bottom branches off to expose the trunk. Lightly pruned roots.

Potted up the tree tree in potting soil, perlite, pumice, akadama, kanuma mix (basically my leftover soils from other projects).


Out of the pot with nice roots all over.



After removing the soil to the topmost roots to expose trunk.


Clean up of some of the lower branches and some of the soil and longer roots.


What was removed.


After placing in new pot with bonsai soil.

Time to start thinking about your repotting, final design, wiring, pruning and generally getting the trees in shape for the contest!
