Hello all, I'm super brand new to bonsai (just signed up here today, be nice lol) and I picked up this jade gollum the other day that I would like to work on.

I need some advice on if I should trim it and where. The new growth it has is so thick and heavy that the branches can't support it and they all bow.

Please let me know if more pictures would help and what angles are useful. The order they are in are side 1, side 1 top down, side 2 and side 2 top down.

Thanks everyone and I look forward to having fun learning on your msg board!

Welcome to the Nuthouse! Most jades can be cut back harshly and will back bud like crazy. Not much experience with the Gollum variety. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Here's with a different more clear backdrop. Side 1 first, then side 2.

One of the things you can do to make it easier to advise you is to add your general location to your profile. This gives climate information so advice will be more specific to your trees' needs. I'm not familiar with this species myself, but as many artist/scientists as there are involved in this forum, I'm sure you'll get the help you're looking for.
WELCOME!

Sweet thanks, I just added it. I'm in Atlanta where it's hot & humid.
