You're welcome. Probably clear.. The light was horrible in the big hall. Really sad, as the trees were absolutely AMAZING. Better then Noelanders, I think.

Wish I could have made it, but on the wrong continent:) Look at Tony posing

Some fantastic trees, though some of the carving looks Baddeley done...

And what is that accent in the bottom pic? Looks like a baby dragon about to launch!
It is. If I remember correctly, the exhibit is by Marcus Watts, with a hillside forest originally created by kimura. The forest seems to have lost some of the original finiesse though.

Yeah, Will played his roles as the big dusty carving monster with a vengance, and was very present during the first day of demonstrations.

Thanx for the pictures, i think i remember seeing a picture where there was an archer or something at the top of the hillside forest, cant remember exactly but i think it was a picture from noelanders.

Very nice photos! Thank you for sharing! I wonder if the "Hillside Hinoki" is one created to look like Kimura's because that is at least not his famous planting in that style. Perhaps it is another that Kimura did but I bet more than likely it is someone's copy of Kimura's work.

My understanding John is that is was in fact styled by Kimura. I could be wrong but I believe I saw it/read it somewhere. Owned by Marcus Watts? Perhaps someone will chime in with more info.

@leatherback: Thanks for sharing. Looks top notch exhibit, but then again I expect it these days from Europe. That green multi trunk maple is outstanding! I do love the very, very simple set up which allows the eye to focus on the trees.
