Bog Tamarack #2. Long Trunk.

This was also collected spring of 2022 from the bog in Luck,WI.
It was the 1st of three I collected that day. It put up a good fight.
Potted up in 50/50 pumice, sphagnum moss.

Today.
Trimmed back. I’m going to attempt an air layer here as the top portion is killer, but the lower portion, Well… you can see that it’s a pole.

Yeah. I just don’t see a literati in there, so I’ve decided on the air layer.

Been looking at this one more. I decided to cut off this upward angled branch (at red line) which is crossing up other branch. Plus there is the branch directly below, and one developing branch above
After the cut, the tree is a little 2 dimensional, but I think it will prove to be an improvement down the line.

Still deciding on whether I want to layer the top off, or work towards a taller elegant shape.
