I wish you had jinned the trunk, keeping at least 6 inches of dead wood above the chop. Juniper do not heal wounds the same way a deciduous tree does. The chop will be very difficult to make look natural. A Jin, dead wood, is a good way to "disguise the hand of man", at least for junipers.
With that chop, it will be a decade or more before you can make a natural looking transition from lower trunk to the upper section. A dead wood Jin would have made a natural transition.
Sorry about the bad review. Just being honest. In the future always leave a Jin, longer that you can imagine needing. Later it can be carved and reduced to correct length.
