[Barbells and bonsai]

Collected this afternoon. Has a knee and interesting trunk, planning to chop about a foot off the top later this month.

I was on the fence with this one due to lack of taper but the knee got me

Is the knee obviously attached? So many times when they are that close to the trunk they are actually part of a root system from a different tree...not always though.

Is the knee obviously attached? So many times when they are that close to the trunk they are actually part of a root system from a different tree...not always though.

It is not fused to the trunk but does seem to be connected to the root system of this tree. I could be wrong but it certainly feels like it is, I leave native soil around base when collecting so hard to visually confirm.
