So... what's a cascade style supposed to represent? How to you create a cascade style for a tree that grows at (or in) water level? The answer, as it should, comes from nature.

Here's a tree I found this past Saturday. The story, as I understand it, is that the tree was hollow on the side away from the river. At some point, the tree topples into the river and forms this arch. Branches adapt to the new light situation.

I've got to get back out to this tree and study it some more. This needs to be done as a bonsai.

I have to agree- more of a raft/bridge style- but definitely a design idea.

I did get a chance to work on a root over rock cascade BC collected in the San Antonio area which was cool!

Not only does it look like a raft style, but it’s literally floating on the water... raft.

Although Bayou bridge style might work out even better!
