Bark peeling off crape myrtle. Normal?

The bark is peeing off my crape myrtle is this normal? There's about 3-4 spots like this. And it wasn't like this yesterday to my knowledge.

Here's the tree now. Letting some things grow to thicken.


Here was the tree a month And a half or two ago. Been growing like crazy.

Totally normal. That exfoliating bark is one of the reasons why people like crepe myrtle

Yeah, especially when you let it grow out like that, it'll put on some girth and send the old bark.
