Alright everyone, I'm back with a better idea of what we're doing. :)

Steve and I have figured out our pricing on several trees that we're ready to let go of. If you're interested in a tree, either ask on the page or pm me for more pictures and shipping estimates. We selling our personal trees as individuals at this point; we hope to orgainize as a full fedged business in the future. But we're starting from scratch with our regular full time jobs, families and all.

I promise we'll have a website someday... It's one of those family favor type of things, so I can't make any promises as to when it will be up. But I will post everything here and possibly some on ebay. I look forward to working with you!

-- These pictures are from an earlier post. I have new ones of this tree that I'll share soon.

Shohin Common Juniper #1

These are the rarest variety that we have. We only find a few of these that are collectible. With 15 years of collecting, Steve only has a handfull.

This one has some awesome deadwood and is very old despite being so small.

Price: $500 Shipping: $25

Interesting I wonder what variety this one is, its needles seem to weep.

Shohin Common Juniper #2

This one has some cool deadwood/live veign movement. Tons of character in a very small tree.

Price: $300 Shipping: $20

Honestly I think it just put on so much new growth this spring that it's hanging down. I could be wrong, but it put on twice the growth this spring that it had total before.

Dan, those "common junipers" look more like a fir. I haven't seen that kind of foliage on a juniper before. Great to see you finally getting to the point where you guys are finally selling trees, Congrats!

Chris

Appears to be a common juniper to me.

Sigh - another cool species not growable in Houston. Let me know if you happen to run across any of those wild Rocky Mountain banyans ...

Scott

Thanks Chris. These are similar to the Japanese needle juniper (Tosho). You will know the difference from fir when you get your hands in one... lol

Haha... I'll keep my eye out for them. We're famous for Jackalope here... so you never know. I can even get you a jackalope hunting license!

Thanks Dan, still learning my species ;)

That RMJ #1 sure looks awesome  Alas...it is beyond my budget.

I was working on my bonsai worksheet last night and my son (who was visiting) read the total I've spent on trees...and my wife heard it. She was fast to retort that she should be allowed to get anything she want w/o any complaints from me. I am in big trouble. :(

I'm very.... VERY glad that I haven't kept records of how much I've spent on bonsai...

My wife knows it's a lot though. And she's very happy that I'm starting to sell some.

Bah....! If you aren't measuring it in 10s (of thousands), you're doing fine. lol If you are... just have something awesome to show for it. lol

I don't think I'm there yet... but I'm sure I'm moving quickly toward my first 10k... ugh.. I hope it's not too close. Or I should have a lot more to show for it.. lol

So glad you guys are starting to sell! I am moving this year but I'd like to get my hands on some yamadori next spring.

Gotta agree here, what a Fantastic RMJ Dan! A bit too late, I'm getting a chojubai this month and a Itoigawa next mos. I hope you're able to keep that kind of quality coming! :D
