Hello together,

to be honest, I don't know if I'm in the right subforum here, but I wanted to give it a try. These days I tried to create a combination of two ash trees. One of the seedlings in the pot did not have well-developed roots on the trunk. To get the seedling into the pot, I cut off a relatively large piece of the trunk where the roots had formed. Now, after a few days, the whole thing looks like the picture. Do you think the tree still has a chance or will it never come back?

Ash are pretty tough customers.
Many trees are able to drop leaves to cope with trauma. That allows them to survive until conditions improve. It would probably have been better to do the root prune while the tree was dormant but it's done now.
I would continue care because it is likely to get going again in a few weeks.

I´m still finger crossing and hop the tree will recover from my mistreatment o_O

Suspect rookie mistake. Develop tree first worry about Bonsai pot LAST. Also suspect work/repot done too late in season.
