Those are "money trees" (pachira aquatica).

The only neat looking one I've seen is this:

I'd probably get the one in the front with the fat trunk as a houseplant, as long as it's cheap.

I think they are Adansonia digiata, if so then they have a good trunk size already.
They are doable, I'd do them.

If they are money trees then I have no idea.

I'm not a fan because of the large compound leaves. Reminds me of Schefflera arboricola, which we have growing in several spots in our yard.

If you like them, and they grow well in your area, try them. I can tell you these would never make to my benches, and for more then one reason.

The idea of bonsai is to be able to see a big old tree in a small one. The bigger the leaves, the bigger the plant needs to be to respect the proportions. Other than that, you can try to grow any plant you want in a pot. The satisfaction to see it thriving will be the same ;-)

Confirmed ID Pashira. Not sure if I'll go with one as house plant as u say as these are not common at all here. I did however book a «supposed to be Acer palmatum. Will wait for leaves to confirm the ID. Nothing fancy but first time I see one Here.
