Alabama Bonsai Society's Ugly Tree Contest

I'll admit I shamelessly lifted this from Al's Fresno club. We had a good time with it last night, and found a deserving winner indeed. The prize was a certificate and new pair of shears with which to trim off the ugly parts. Here are some of the entries. A few didn't belong; but there's no shame in losing this contest, right?

And the winner was this trident maple in a bag pot.
Here is our president holding the tree out at a small distance (so as not to get any ugly on him), and the owner of the tree proudly displaying the cert and scissors...

Smoke, my comment to the group was very similar to yours. Now my tree was simply UGLY and is probably heading to the dumpster if no progress is made shortly--my progress, not the tree.
