Advice on dwarf pomegranate

This is a dwarf pomegranate I've owned for about 10 years with the hopes of making it into a bonsai. now that the kids are a little older nd somewhat on autopilot I've actually got time to work on it. I'd appreciate any suggestions as to how to proceed from here.

Needs to be shorter. I would make your tree from the lowest branches and layer/ make cuttings from the higher ones if it was mine.., but I see new trees in every twisty branch on every tree I own! It is a propagation affliction/ addiction!

I repotted it about a month or so ago and it is taking some time to recover. They are terr, but they are small.

I see what you mean. I can start layering off the upper branches next spring. Thank you for the suggestion.

Chopping faster, but you will loose the chopped part. Welcome to the forum.
