Hello everyone,

Thought I would share my latest tree with you all. It's a fat little Ficus microcarpa. Some of you that are a part of other forums may have seen this already, but I've always got to share my trees with the Nut House as well ;)

I have not yet measured it, so I'll get back to you all on that. My plans with this one: Remove the wire. Let the tree adjust. Repot the tree into a bigger pot and let it grow. It's got great taper, I just don't know how well Ficus microcarpa do as shohin indoors. Jerry Meislik told me he's had trouble keeping shohin size ones alive, so that's why I want to grow it out more. Feel free to leave any comments you may have.

It looks a lot like a Ginseng Ficus in the early stage.

Cause if you're saying it's a young Ginseng, I can definitely tell you it's not :D

This tree has some interesting movement that you don't often see in a ficus... ginsing or otherwise:cool:

I agree it has a lot of movement, which is a bit unusual. It also has great taper. Here's a better picture of it:

Most of the wire has been removed, it was really cutting into the bark.

No, I seen Ficus Microcarpa, I just meant that the thickness of the base, almost bulbous like a ginseng ficus grows.
