This an elm clump that I plan on digging up in the spring. It's growing right next to my sisters garage and she obviously wants it gone. It was a single tree that her late husband cut down but neglected to treat the stump with a herbicide and it grew back. I did some preliminary poking around with a shovel and it feels like the tap root grows under the garage! It also feels like it's 5 or 6 " in diameter. Saw wrecker to say the least. The the shoe in the picture is a size 13 for reference.

That never happened to me before. The sideways pictures that is.

I was told earlier how to fix. If your uploading from iOS device you have to edit pic, rotate it,save it then edit again, rotate it back, then save it. You end up uploading it exactly how you did the first time only this time it's not sideways. Weird

Nice.

All the trunks are perfectly different sized!

I collected one next to a garage this year via a/l.

I would chop it back hard in early spring. Good and proportionately.

Maybe bend those trumks a bit while the sawwrecker is still holding it firm.

And air/ground layer it.

Then put it in a box and mail it to me late summer!

Good thing this monster needs no permission!

Sticking with the sideways pics. Sorry.

Oh. And note the location of the downspout. Kept me from having to tend it!

You could probly rig something to keep it wet too.

They all get cut down before the digging starts at the 2 to 1 ratio. I have a laundry basket lined with screen to put it in.
